Santana Moss Youth Football Camp
Many of you may not know that, Redskins wide receiver, Santana Moss has an outreach program at our own Mount Vernon High School to help the youth of our community. The program is Santana’s 30/30 Club.
The 30/30 Club is a new breed of academic achievement for at-risk students who have a desire to go to college and a willingness to work hard in both the classroom and the community. This program was featured on Fairfax County’s Top Priority show throughout the month of March. There were 30 sophomores selected from Mount Vernon High School that will be followed for 30 months until graduation. Even though the program is only in it’s second semester, the participants have shown great improvement to include improved GPA.

Extravaganza (hosted by Sinorice Moss of the 2008 Superbowl Champions NY Giants with more to follow on the NY Giants) and Santana Moss’s First Annual Football Camp … being held at our own Mount Vernon High School. The camp will be this Saturday, May 31, 2008 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Campers between the ages of 7-16 will be attending from around the area, to include many from Ft. Belvoir’s Youth Sports program.
Proceeds from this event will benefit the Santana Moss Foundation, Sean Taylor Foundation, and Santana’s 30/30 Club.
